At SJL, we’re always open to buy your inventory. We buy total quantities of all products that we purchase, take delivery immediately, and pay promptly. SJL works in the secondary markets and we sell your products outside of your marketing channels.
Our corporate headquarters, including our office, showroom, and warehouse facility, are located in Northeast Philadelphia. We also exhibit in 14 National Trade Shows each year!
It all began when Sheldon Liss started Liss Brothers, Inc. in 1974. The company
was established as a wholesale distribution business specializing in closeouts.
We started out in a modest 10,000 square ft. loft building in downtown
Philadelphia and had to move into larger quarters many times to accommodate
our steady growth over the years. Our 400,000 square ft. corporate
headquarters, including our office, showroom, and warehouse facility, are located
in Northeast Philadelphia.
The company added an Import division in 1981, and a Candle Business (RAC
Designs) in 1982. As the import business grew, the company was renamed Liss
Global in 2001. The Import Business was sold in 2013 and our Liss Global name
went with the sale. We renamed the company SJL Company, Inc.
Over the last 40 plus years our closeout business has continued to maintain its
high standards and position in the market and after a brief hiatus we have now
returned to providing our customers with global end to end sourcing solutions.
We enjoy long term supplier and customer relationships throughout all of our
businesses and pride ourselves on operating with integrity and creating value for
our customers.
